The top-ranked, 11-0 Florida Gators of coach Urban Meyer welcomed the 6-5 Florida State Seminoles of coach Bobby Bowden in Bowden's final Belt game.  Florida's All-SEC QB Tim Tebow threw 3 touchdown passes & rushed for another 2 scores as the Gators rolled to an easy 37-10 rout of the Seminoles.  The loss left Bowden with a 25-5 record in Belt games with 2 Belt reigns during his distinguished career.  After the teams exchanged punts, Florida scored the only points of the 1st quarter with a 6-play, 48-yard drive lead by Tebow.  After collecting a first down, Tebow connected with WR Riley Cooper for a 19-yard gain to the Florida State 18-yard line & on the next play, Tebow threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to All-American TE Aaron Hernandez for a 7-0 Gators' lead.  On the first play of the 2nd quarter, Florida's PK Caleb Sturgis kicked a 37-yard field goal pushing the lead to 10-0 as it was becoming clear that the Seminoles' offense would be unable to attack the Gators' defense with any consistency.  Florida next drove 80 yards in 12 plays as Tebow methodically broke down the Florida State defense scoring on an 18-yard run as the lead went to 17-0 midway through the quarter.  A 37-yard touchdown pass from Tebow to Hernandez capped a 5-play, 51-yard drive giving the Gators a 24-0 halftime lead.  Florida's first drive of the 3rd quarter ended any speculation about a Seminoles' comeback as Tebow connected with Cooper on a 39-yard touchdown pass but even though Sturgis' extra point attempt was blocked by Florida State's DE Kevin McNeil it was clear what the outcome of this contest would be.  A fumble by Tebow was recovered by Seminoles' S Jamie Robinson setting up a 20-yard field goal from Florida State's PK Dustin Hopkins broke the shutout as the 3rd quarter ended.  Tebow's 1-yard touchdown run finished an 8-play, 77-yard drive that was highlighted by a 62-yard run by Gators' RB Jeff Demps.  The final tally came when Seminoles' QB E.J. Manuel threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to WR Jarmon Fortson leaving the score 37-10.  Tebow finished with 221 yards passing with 3 touchdowns as well as his 2 rushing scores.  Demps added 108 yards rushing while Manuel threw for 198 yards with a touchdown but 2 interceptions as well as being sacked 3 times for Florida State.  Florida finished the season 13-1, ranked 3rd nationally while the Seminoles finished 7-6 in Bowden's final season.  Florida State has not played for The Belt again.
