The 4th ranked, 11-1 Oklahoma Sooners of coach Bob Stoops met the 19th ranked, 9-3 Missouri Tigers with coach Gary Pinkel.  Missouri was the Belt holder through the first 5 games of the season & this was their chance to reclaim The Belt they had lost to Oklahoma State.  The Sooners' offense amassed 627 yards while the Oklahoma defense forced 3 turnovers as the Sooners made their claim to be in the BCS Championship game with a 62-21 rout of the Tigers.  Oklahoma dominated from the outset getting a 20-yard field goal from PK Jimmy Stevens & a 4-yard touchdown run from RB Chris Brown in the opening quarter.  Missouri's only offensive threat in the 1st quarter ended with All-Big XII PK Jeff Wolfert leaving a 48-yard field goal attempt short.  The Tigers got their offense going late in the quarter & closed to within a field goal early in the 2nd quarter when QB Chase Daniel threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to All-American WR Jeremy Maclin making the score 10-7 but that was as close as Missouri would get.  The Sooners got 4 more touchdowns before halftime to essentially decide the outcome of the game.  Heisman Trophy winning, All-American QB Sam Bradford threw a 10-yard touchdown pass & a 7-yard touchdown pass to WR Juaquin Iglesias & RB Mossis Madu scored on a 12-yard touchdown run.  Oklahoma's final points of the half came after Sooners' CB Brian Jackson intercepted Daniel & returned it to the Tigers' 28-yard line.  Bradford completed a 22-yard pass to WR Ryan Broyles & Brown carried the final 6 yards for a 38-7 halftime lead.  The 3rd quarter saw a 30-yard field goal by Stevens & a 9-yard touchdown pass from Daniel to WR Tommy Saunders.  The Sooners' opened the final quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run from Madu & Missouri's final score came early in the 4th quarter when Daniel threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to All-American TE Chase Coffman but Oklahoma used the final quarter to make their case to be included in the BCS National Championship game.  A 6-yard touchdown run from Brown & a 37-yard touchdown run from Madu closed the scoring as the Sooners scored more than 60 points for the 5th consecutive game.  Bradford finished with 384 yards passing with 2 touchdowns both to Iglesias who added 125 yards receiving to his scores.  Brown & Madu each rushed for 3 touchdowns with Brown adding 122 yards rushing while Madu posted 114 yards rushing.  Daniel threw for 255 yards with 3 touchdowns but 2 interceptions in the loss.  Missouri finished the season 10-4, ranked 19th nationally while Oklahoma finished 12-2, ranked 5th nationally.  Missouri has not played for The Belt again.
