The Gators scored 10 points in the final 12 minutes of the game as they claimed The Belt for the 4th time in Belt history with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma. Florida's defense controlled the high-powered Sooners' offense that had scored more than 60 points in 5 straight games while All-SEC QB Tim Tebow powered the Gators' offense with his power running. The teams traded punches throughout the opening quarter before Florida started an 86-yard scoring drive late in the quarter. Tebow finished the 12-play drive on the third play of the 2nd quarter with a 20-yard touchdown pass to WR Louis Murphy for a 7-0 Gators' lead. Oklahoma responded quickly behind the running of RB Chris Brown who opened the 6-play scoring drive with 3 rushes totaling 46 yards. Sooners' Heisman Trophy winning, All-American QB Sam Bradford finished the drive with a 6-yard touchdown pass to All-Big XII TE Jermaine Gresham to tie the game at 7-7. Oklahoma threatened to score just before halftime as they drove to the Florida 6-yard line before Bradford's pass attempt was intercepted by Gators' S Major Wright. Tebow dominated Florida's 3rd quarter scoring drive as he rushed for 50 yards on the 13-play, 75-yard drive with the touchdown coming from All-SEC WR Percy Harvin's 2-yard run giving the Gators a 14-7 lead. The Sooners tied the game at 14-14 with 12:13 left in the game as Bradford threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Gresham but Oklahoma never threatened to score again.
