The 6th ranked, 2-0 Missouri Tigers with coach Gary Pinkel welcomed the 1-1 Nevada Wolf Pack of coach Chris Ault.  The Tigers' offense continued their season-long roll as they averaged over 10 yards per play & scored their most points since 1969 in a 69-17 win to retain the title.  Missouri's QB Chase Daniel threw for 405 yards with 4 touchdowns while 3 receivers each had more than 100 yards receiving.  It took less than 3 minutes for the Tigers to take a 14-0 lead as RB Derrick Washington scored on a 59-yard run on the 4th play of the game.  After Nevada's punt went for a touchback, Daniel connected with All-Big XII WR Jeremy Maclin who was streaking through the Wolf Pack zone defense.  Maclin took the short pass & raced down the left sideline for an 80-yard touchdown.  Nevada responded with their best drive of the game covering 81 yards in 12 plays with All-WAC QB Colin Kaepernick scoring on a 1-yard run.  Tigers' All-Big XII PK Jeff Wolfert kicked a 27-yard field goal to finish the 1st quarter scoring.  Early in the 2nd quarter, Daniel found WR Jared Perry for a 27-yard touchdown pass pushing the Missouri lead to 24-7.  Another long drive for the Wolf Pack resulted in a 31-yard field goal from PK Brett Jaekle but 2 more touchdowns from Tigers seemed to end any hopes of a Nevada upset.  Missouri's RB Derrick Washington scored on a 2-yard touchdown run before Daniel & Maclin connected on a 14-yard touchdown pass giving the Tigers a 38-10 lead.  The Wolf Pack scored on the final play of the 1st half when Kaepernick hit All-WAC WR Marko Mitchell for a 42-yard touchdown pass.  Missouri completely dominated the 2nd half getting a 49-yard touchdown pass from Daniel to Maclin, a 32-yard touchdown pass from WR Tommy Saunders to TE Chase Coffman on a fake field goal attempt, & a 3-yard touchdown run from back-up QB Chase Patton.  Wolfert opened the 4th quarter with a 24-yard field goal & LB Jeff Gettys intercepted a pass from Nevada's back-up QB Nick Graziano before returning the pick 27 yards for the final points.  Daniel finished with 405 yards passing completing 23 of 28 pass attempts with 4 touchdowns while Maclin had 6 catches for 172 yards with 3 touchdowns, Coffman had 6 catches for 127 yards with a touchdown, & Saunders added 6 catches for 100 yards.  Kaepernick threw for 152 yards with a touchdown in the loss.  Nevada finished the season 7-6 while Missouri finished the season 10-4, ranked 19th nationally.  Nevada has not played for The Belt again.
