The 8th ranked, 6-0 Oklahoma State Cowboys of coach Mike Gundy welcomed the 3-3 Baylor Bears with coach Art Briles.   Cowboys' All-Big XII WR Dez Bryant had a career day with 11 receptions for 212 yards with 2 touchdowns as Oklahoma State rolled to a 34-6 win to retain The Belt.  The Cowboys' defense shutdown the Bears' rushing attack while 3 touchdowns from the Oklahoma State offense in the 2nd quarter decided the outcome of the game.  Momentum in the game seemed to be on the side of Baylor when Bears' S Jeremy Williams recovered a fumble by Cowboys' All-Big XII RB Kendall Hunter as Oklahoma State had driven to the Bears' 24-yard line.  Baylor made the turnover hurt even more for the Cowboys when the Bears drove 65 yards in 10 plays with RB Jacoby Jones carrying the final yard for the touchdown.  Baylor's highlight was short-lived though as Oklahoma State's DE Derek Burton blocked the extra-point attempt & the Cowboys never looked back.  5:03 later, Oklahoma State tied the game when RB Keith Toston scored on a 4-yard run.  When Cowboys' PK Dan Bailey converted the extra-point attempt, Oklahoma State had a lead the would not relinquish.  The 2nd quarter was dominated by the Cowboys.  Oklahoma State's QB Zac Robinson connected with Bryant on a 37-yard touchdown pass to push the Cowboys' lead to 14-6 just 2:46 into the period.  A 12-play, 81-yard drive pushed the lead to 21-6 as Robinson & Bryant hooked-up on a 9-yard touchdown pass for the score & Toston got his second touchdown of the game as he pushed in from 2 yards out with just 0:19 left in the half.  In the 3rd quarter, Bailey kicked field goals from 20 & 21 yards while Oklahoma State's defense continue to control the line of scrimmage.  Robinson finished the game with 238 yards passing with 2 touchdowns while Bears' QB Robert Griffin threw for 162 yards in the loss.  Baylor finished the season 4-8 while Oklahoma State finished 9-4, ranked 16th nationally.  Baylor has not played for The Belt again.
